This is how we make a difference for you
Our household help doesn't only receive practical training but also opportunities to develop themselves. This keeps them motivated and makes work enjoyable. The result is immediately noticeable: care and quality in every detail of your household.
Introductory training
Every new household helper gets off to a flying start with an extensive introductory training. We begin by assessing the knowledge of the household helper: language skills, cleaning experience, or none at all, …
Then, based on their needs and interests, a personalized training program is offered. Helan Household Help provides an extensive and diverse training offer:
During training, the household help learns practical skills such as the most efficient ways to clean your home, ergonomic cleaning techniques, and (safe) use of equipment.
We also focus on courses like 'Road safety' and 'Communicating in Dutch in the workplace' to provide our non-Dutch speaking household help with a foundation in the Dutch language.

Lifelong learning
From experienced household help to newcomers: at Helan, learning never stops. That's why we also organize special training for household help with (more) experience. For example, 'Tips and tricks for the experienced household helper' or 'Dealing with dementia'.
Coaching and guidance
In addition to training opportunities, we also focus on coaching:
We regularly have coaching sessions with our household help. This allows us to see where additional support is needed and how we can further develop someone's strengths.
Currently, we have a team of 13 cleaning coaches who, in addition to their job as household helpers, guide other household helpers.
The coach will spend a day at your home to review what is going well and where adjustments are still needed. That way, we can assist your household helper with practical tips to improve both work quality and your satisfaction.
Our office staff also step into the field. That way, they know exactly what’s happening with our household help and they can support you better as a customer.
Ergonomics
Sometimes you don't realise it, but your employer goes to considerable lengths to provide you with a healthy workplace. Consider, for example, the ergonomically adjusted office desk. At Helan Household Help, we make sure your household help knows all about working ergonomically, too.

The first time I took the training course as a new household helper, I thought to myself: 'Oh, missing a proper wring of the mop just once won't make a difference.' Now I know better.
