What equipment and products should I provide?
Your household helper will work with the equipment and products you have in your home. Some equipment is mandatory for certain tasks so that your household helper can work safely. Together, go over the equipment and products you have and see whether it is necessary to purchase additional items. Click here to view a full list of safe equipment and products.
Make your home a safe workplace
Everyone enjoys a safe workplace. Your home is the workplace of your household helper. It's important to check whether you can guarantee a safe workplace. That way, your household helper can go to work without having to worry.

Do I have to be at home when the household helper visits?
It is best to be present during your household helper's first visit. That way, you can go over all the tasks together and show where the equipment and products are located. Remember to explain where the first-aid kit is and where there are potentially dangerous places in your home. From the second visit onwards, you do not need to be present and can communicate with your household help through the Poetswijzer (cleaning guide).
How should I communicate with my household helper?
Constructive feedback only improves collaboration.
If you are at home when your household helper visits, then giving feedback in person is preferable, of course.
Tips for an easier conversation:
- Take the time to have your conversation. Calmly explain what you mean.
- Start with something positive, and then say what could be better.
- Give your household helper a chance to respond, and then find a solution together.
- Just keep to the facts, don't focus on the person.
- Be constructive. Give advice or suggestions on how things could be better.
- Be realistic. Keep in mind the allocated number of hours and resources that your household helper has.
- Satisfied? There is nothing wrong with telling them that, too. Don't hesitate to compliment.
Are you not going to be at home when your household helper visits? Then note your expectations and feedback in the Poetswijzer. The Poetswijzer is the communication notebook between you and your household helper. Download your Poetswijzer here or ask your consultant about it.

The tasks of a household help
A cleaning help often does much more than vacuuming and mopping. Did you know that your cleaning help can do many other practical tasks, such as preparing a meal? At the same time, there are also tasks that are not part of the package but are still frequently requested.
How to create a safe and respectful work environment
How to pay with service vouchers
You pay your household helper with electronic service vouchers. You can order and pay for them at Pluxee (Sodexo). Sign up with Pluxee before your household helper starts working.
You do not pay the electronic service vouchers directly to your household helper. A few days after the service, you will receive an email from Pluxee to confirm the service. Once you confirm the service, we will pay your household helper.
If you pay with paper service vouchers, you do pay them immediately after the service to your household helper. You pay 1 service voucher per hour worked.
