What costs are covered by my Dentalia Up dental insurance?
The Dentalia Up dental insurance protects you and your family for a lifetime against expensive dental care costs. On this page, we list the dental care costs that are reimbursed. Did you know that those who go for an annual dental check-up get more reimbursed?
Which dental care costs are reimbursed?
Thanks to the Dentalia Up dental insurance, you are extensively covered and can count on reimbursement for, among other things, the annual dental check-up, dental prostheses and implants, and orthodontics for children and young people.
Preventative dental care
Treatments that detect and address the onset of dental problems. Receive full reimbursements, right from your first day of coverage.
Curative dental care
Need a dental cavity filled? Curative dental care is 50% or 80% reimbursed, depending on your preventive history.
Prostheses, implants and periodontolgy
Having dental replacements or treating gum disease? You will be reimbursed 50% or 80% for these treatments, depending on your preventive history.

Why is orthodontic reimbursement not available for adults?
The reimbursement for orthodontics through Dentalia Up focuses on children and young people. Their jaw growth is still ongoing, making corrections more efficient. For adults, orthodontics is often considered a aesthetic treatment. Therefore, these costs are not covered by the standard reimbursements of Dentalia Up.
Get more reimbursed thanks to annual dental check-ups
Preventive oral care prevents many dental costs. For this reason, Dentalia Up reimburses up to 80% for curative dental care, dentures, implants, and periodontology, if you go for an annual dental check-up. If you didn’t go for a check-up the previous calendar year, you will only be reimbursed up to 50% for curative dental care, bridges, crowns, dentures, implants, and periodontology. So make sure to go for a check-up every year!
What is the maximum reimbursement per treatment?
For all reimbursements, there is a certain limit. This is the maximum amount you can get reimbursed per type of treatment or per year. We look at your membership year to determine the maximum limit you are entitled to for your specific dental care. Reimbursements per type of dental care are cumulative.
There is no waiting period for preventive care, and in the case of an accident or dental problems caused by cancer treatment. There is a waiting period of 6 months for curative care, and 12 months for orthodontics for children, periodontology, dentures, and implants.
