Why should you inform your health insurance fund about your departure?
It is important to inform us as soon as possible about your departure date and situation so that we can properly follow up on your medical file and ensure your coverage continues smoothly.
If you are employed, a worker, self-employed, or a student in Belgium and are moving to another European country, you will receive the S041 document from us:
- It includes an overview of all your insurance, career, and place of residence.
- It proves that you were covered by a European public health insurance system.
- This helps reduce the waiting time when joining the health insurance system of your new country.
